The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival is returning to New York City for its fifth annual event from 15 – 19 March 2017. The festival is now accepting submissions in science fiction, fantastic, horror, supernatural, speculative and metaphysical feature and short films and alternative forms of storytelling through virtual reality and new media.
Deadlines include: 1 July 2016 (early deadline), 15 October 2016 (regular deadline), 30 December 2016 (late deadline) and 11 January 2017 (extended deadline). Complete information about rules and eligibility is available on their website.
It’s great to see this film festival going strong and, as it enters its fifth year, move closer to the realms of becoming an institution! The festival continues its mission to entertain, educate and unite audiences by providing the very best independent science fiction films all in honour of the insightful and groundbreaking works and life of Philip K. Dick. There’s no better author to honour as our world increasingly straddles the line between reality and perception, justice and oppression, collective power and cognitive dissonance.
Make sure to get involved and long may it continue!
